In this position, you will technically lead and participate in development of advanced system architectures and complex simulation models for Western Digital's next generation solid state drive products. You will be responsible for leading the development of the system HW architecture and will initiate and analyze changes to the architecture of the product. You will define, specify and document new HW and FW features for the next generation products. You will work with cross-functional team to help with integration of this feature into the product. You will help to determine technological improvement in all areas of the product including next generation ASIC, power IC and NAND. Typical activities would also include designing, programming, debugging, and modifying simulation models in order to evaluate these changes and assess the performance, power, and thermal behavior of the product. You will work closely with excellent colleague engineers, cope with complex challenges, innovate, and develop products that will be sold in millions of units.

B.Sc. in Computer Science or Software / Computer / Electrical Engineering, cum laude
At least 5 years of experience in RT / embedded systems architecture
At least 5 years of experience in HW Architecture
Experience with scripting automation using Python
Capable of developing wide system view for complex embedded systems
Multi-disciplinary experience, including familiarity with Firmware, HW and ASIC design
Simulation experience using System C and TLM, behavioral modeling and performance analysis - advantage
Previous experience with client and enterprise storage systems, NVMe, and NAND flash - strong advantage
