Job Description:
We are looking for a Drive Analysis Engineer to join our growing Hardware team.
The Drive Analysis Engineer is a team player, who will specialize in different storage hardware components, with an emphasis on HDD and SSD technologies.
The job includes an involvement in a variety of hardware projects, working with hardware vendors, lab activities, storage component evaluations, and hardware failure troubleshooting.
Responsibilities:
" Expertise in storage hardware components.
" Continuously learning, evaluating and debugging storage hardware components and firmwares, such as HDDs, SSDs, enclosures and servers.
" Work with vendors and with internal departments, such as Platform, Manufacturing and Support teams to troubleshoot and solve hardware problems.
" Large-scale lab maintenance.
" Debug, analyze and solve hardware problems in both lab and field systems.
Job Qualifications:
" 2-3 years of experience as a System Integration Engineer, Linux administrator, storage administrator, Failure Analysis Engineer or a similar position.
" At least two years of experience working in a Linux environment.
" A multitasker, with an attention to small details.
" A carious, highly motivated and independent, fast learner who will no hesitate experientng in the lab and diving into new areas of knowledge.
" Hands-on experience in a data center work.
" Familiarity with some communication and storage protocols such as tcp, ethernet, SCSI, NVMe, SAS, SATA, and similar.
" Fluent English speaking and writing skills.
" Knowledge in a scripting language such as bash/Python - an advantage.
" A Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent knowledge - An advantage.
