Job Description:

As a Localization Algorithm Engineer, you'll take charge of developing and refining the Ego localization module, crucial for achieving accurate 6 degrees of freedom (DoF) localization. You'll leverage advanced algorithms like Kalman Filter (KF), Extended Kalman Filter (EKF), Bundle Adjustment (BA), Visual Odometry (VO), Visual-Inertial Odometry (VIO), Pose Graph Optimization (PGO), and others, integrating data from various sensors to create a cohesive and accurate positioning solution. Responsibilities:
1. Design, develop, and implement sophisticated localization algorithms to accurately determine the vehicle's position and orientation in real-time.
2. Employ techniques such as sensor fusion, SLAM (Simultaneous Localization and Mapping), and map-based localization to enhance accuracy and reliability.
3. Work closely with the perception and control teams to integrate the localization module with other system components, ensuring seamless vehicle operation.
4. Optimize algorithms for real-time performance on embedded systems, with a focus on computational efficiency and scalability.
5. Conduct rigorous testing and validation of localization algorithms through simulation and real-world trials.
6. Keep abreast of the latest advancements in localization technologies and methodologies, integrating innovative solutions to maintain and enhance system performance.
7. Participate in cross-functional team discussions, contributing technical expertise to broader system architecture and design decisions.
