Job Description:
As a Real-time embedded DSP engineer for work on a 5G/4G product, you will be at the center of the embedded 5G/4G firmware bring up development within a silicon design group responsible for designing a state-of-the-art SoC.
This position requires someone that is capable of designing and implementing PHY algorithmic specifications on target platforms, with all aspects of embedded software development, integrating end-to-end algorithmic specs into system and validating against simulation models.
RESPONSIBILITIES
•Implement key 3GPP NR/LTE standards DSP algorithms with tight time, latency and energy budgets by interfacing real-time ASIC HW
•Work tightly with the Algorithm and L1 System Architect to refine signal processing algorithms for efficient firmware/hardware execution
•Evaluate and implement leading edge tools for formal verification and tests
Job Qualifications:
•Degree in Electrical Engineering and/or Computer Science from a leading university in Israel or overseas
•At least 5 years of experience in development of communication PHY layer Algorithms
•Good understanding of hardware and VLSI designs
•System-level knowledge
•Very good knowledge of C
•Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and to lead development tasks
•Team player and good communication skills
•Experience implementing mathematical DSP algorithms using specific DSP HW (Advantage: experience with CEVA / Tensilica / other SIMD cores DSPs and Control CPUs)
•Understanding of digital communications and signal processing principles
•Proficiency at Fixed Point and Floating Point Arithmetic
•Proficiency with C/C++ and Matlab
•Proficiency at debugging DSP algorithms FW and embedded software systems
•Experience with simulation systems (an advantage)
•Experience with 5G/NR/LTE 3GPP protocols (an advantage)
