Job Description:

Lead all phases of hardware development, including specification, simulation, testing, troubleshooting, certification, documentation, and post-production support.
Manage the hardware development team, train and mentor team members, provide a playful but challenging work environment.
Supervise design of circuits, schematics, PCB layouts, and packaging.
Evaluate and select ICs and discrete components to use in designs, working with supply chain team.
Establish feasible work plans and deliver projects on time based on scope of work.
Support continuous improvement of the hardware development process.
Ensure active communication and alignment between the team members and all other cross-functional teams.
Fill in any gaps in team through hands-on efforts.
Responsible for all certification, regulatory testing and approvals.
Reports to VP R&D

Job Qualifications:

Bachelors or Masters in Electrical Engineering or related technical field.
A minimum of 10 years of experience in electrical engineering product development.
Five plus years experience managing hardware development teams.
Experience with developing high volume consumer products with external CM, ODM or JDM partners.
Experience working with audio and RF circuits.
Excellent hands-on technical skills: debugging, fault analysis, signal and power analysis.
Proven ability to solve problems at all levels: component, board, and system.
Demonstrated engineering discipline throughout the development life cycle.
